The key benefits and licensing details of the YouTrack Server version

 

A version of YouTrack is installed on the customer’s physical or virtual server. The customers themselves manage maintenance and upgrades.

• FREE PLAN: fully functional YouTrack Server for a team of up to 10 users and 3 support agents.
• TRIAL PLAN: up to 10,000 users and 100 support agents for 60 days.
• Commercial subscriptions. Any purchased YouTrack Server license is perpetual and includes one year of upgrade and support.  The licenses come by user packages: 15, 25, 50 users, and more. It also includes up to 3 support agents for free. Customers can buy new licenses, extend subscriptions, and upgrade user packs. Server version - pricing plans.

Perpetual license

A YouTrack Server license lets customers install one instance of YouTrack on their own server and use it forever. Every new license allows for the activation of a certain number of users and includes a one-year subscription to support and product updates. Customers can update their YouTrack to any version released during their subscription's validity period, even after it expires.

Combination and division of user pack

If customers have multiple YouTrack instances, each instance must have its own license. Two user-pack licenses can not be combined for one YouTrack. To get more users, the license needs to be upgraded to the user pack covering the number of active users in the YouTrack

Subscription upgrade terms

With a license renewal for each new year, customers extend the subscription for updates and support. 

When purchasing a new license, the term starts from the day of order delivery.

When renewing a license, the new subscription term starts the next day after the previous license expires (even if it expired Х months ago, the new term is backdated to the previous subscription expiration date).

A customer needs to upgrade their license to increase the number of users.

Helpdesk pricing

Customers can start using the YouTrack Helpdesk for free with 3 support agents and unlimited reporters. If they need 4 or more support agents, the price is fixed at $5 per month for each agent in the subscription. Each support agent also requires a user license. For example, if a  team consists of 25 members 20 of them are regular users and 5 are support agents, customers will pay for a 25-user pack and 5 support agents for their YouTrack subscription.
